Embossing fun with flowers
I wanted to make a fairly clean looking card with my Vintage Vogue set and a fun technique.
I've shown this technique on my blog not too long ago, but here it is again with a flower this time.
I stamped the image on glossy paper and embossed with white. I used a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol and reinkers and blotted it all over the image. Then when you heat it again, the image reappears.
I used some textured pink pirouette paper which is a retired In Color, but is coming back!!! (along with a bunch of other great new colors!)
There's some flower vines stamped behind the main element.
Thanks for looking at my card today. Happy stamping!

Watercoloring WOW
I need to give credit to Just Add Ink with the blog hop this week and the tutorials. This card is for watercoloring! I really love how adding layers makes it look so much better. Thanks for the great tutorial.

For this card I embossed the flowers from Awash with Flowers with black, then watercolored them.
I used Thoroughly Modern paper and eyelets and beautiful wings embosslits (butterfly).

Wet Watercolor
This card is for Color Challenge 271 on Splitcoast Stampers. Dusty Durango, Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron.
I decided to keep it clean and leave lots of white space. I wanted to use my colors in the layering.
Try this: Layers don't need to go around the whole outside edge. See my So Saffron layer that doesn't extend all the way down around the purple. You can also split your layer between two colors ie. have half the frame black and the other half green.
The technique I used was to wet the stamp then color directly on with watercolor crayons before stamping. I stamped on glossy paper.
Stamp sets: Of the Earth (hostess set), Short & Sweet
Embellishments: word window punch, so saffron ribbon, brads, piercing, lattice embossing folder

Emboss Resist
There was a fun blog hop and challenge at Just Add Ink and here's my second card.
I chose the emboss resist technique.
I used versamark and embossed with white on glossy paper. Then I sponged in pink, red and black.
My favorite part is the embellishments!
I combined Black Satin ribbon, real red ribbon, a cordorouy button and linen thread. There's also a fun strip of scalloped red that is pierced.

Reinkers technique
There was a great blog hop over at Just Add Ink to go along with their weekly challenge.
I chose the reinkers with alcohol technique.
I used versamark and black embossing on the bird image from "Of the Earth" hostess set (on glossy paper) I used blue, green and yellow reinkers (see the technique on the blog hop).
The layout is from Stampin Addicts.
I also used lattice texture embossing folder from Stampin' Up! and gorgeous blue satin ribbon. I even decorated the inside of the card...

Surprise!
Here's a couple surprise pop up cards I made for a swap I'm in. The tutorial for making this fun card I found here on Splitcoast Stampers.
I got all the paper, images and embellishments as part of the swap and had to make 4 cards to send to the swappers in my group. I made 2 of each design. The only difference is the patterned paper and ribbon on the pull up part.
Above is the flat/closed view.
I added some glitter on the butterfly. This is what the 2 cards look like pulled open.
Enjoy!

2 for 1 CAS
I made two cards for today's Clean & Simple sketch challenge.
This card uses Tart & Tangy and Short & Sweet stamp sets. I also used my new textured embossing folder. There's piercing and knotted ribbon. Have a closer look...
I ran out of baby cards, so I thought I'd make one with this sketch using a teddy bear from the wonderful retired set Bundle of Joy.
I also used a bit of sparkly designer paper. I tied a tiny bow with kraft ribbon. I did a bit of piercing and scallop trim border punch. I popped up the head of the bear. Here's a closer look...
Thanks for looking at these 2 today. Have a great day.

Floral Fusion Fun!
Had some fun with some new stuff today! To make these flowers I used the floral fusion sizzlit and layered a bunch of layers. I fluffed up the edges to make it look more 3D. In the center I put a clear rhinestone.
I used Thoroughly Modern DSP, Woodgrain background stamp and Short & Sweet. I used floral fusions sizzlits die, bird punch (for the leaves) and modern label punch. I don't often remember to use patterned paper, but today I made good use of it!
This layout is from FTL89 from Clean & Simple Stamping.
Thanks for looking. Have fun crafting!
