New Queen... QFTD141

Here's the card I made for our Queen this week.
I hope you come play along with the Queen for the Day Challenge.

I cut out around the image and then put the black and green layers and ribbon behind it.

Red Birds - combining 3

I made this for our Queen this week. I'd love for you to join in with the Queen for the Day Challenge that I host on Splitcoast.

I combined 3 stamp sets to make this card.  Evergreen, Serene Silhouettes and Snow Swirled (the sentiment).  I stamped the scene on a piece of vanilla, then cut it into 3 sections, then trimmed some of the sections so they were of different heights.
The bottom red piece is cut out with edgelit and embossed with the matching pattern.

Double Folded Christmas Tree

This card is the one that my Stampin' Group will be making.  I used the folded Christmas tree technique from Splitcoast.  I'm not even going to try to explain it.  Here is a tutorial.  I made 2 trees (one circle total) and put them together.

Some fun details
- piercing around the circle
- edgelits and embossed
- pearls on the tree and the star popped up
- I highlighted some of the words in the sentiment with blue, the rest are brown

I love the paper stacks!  The price is so good for getting so many different patterns!  I am pleased to see another paper stack offered in the new Spring Mini Catalogue! (available in January).

A Perfect White Night Snowflake

This card is for the color challenge - A Perfect White Night (perfect plum, white & night of navy)
I also used some black.  A cute snowflake die cut (and boho blossom punch center) and lots of embossing!

This fun layout is from Technostamper.

Blue & Gold Chickadee

I made this card for 3 challenges...
The challenge at The Paper Players was to use gold or silver.  I embossed the bird image, the sentiment and the edges with gold.
Which fit right in with the technique at Splitcoast to emboss the edges.  I used a versamark pen around the edge of the kraft paper and embossed it.  I also sponged with blue.  The sentiment is popped up over the decorative label punch and I added two pearls.
I got the layout from Sketch Frenzy Friday.

I am submitting this card for the design team tryout at The Paper Players.

Frosty Friends AMBUSH

I made this card for the layout at Retro Sketches.
The colors are from Dynamic Duos - Marina Mist and black.

I love this "Frosty Friends" set.  I think it is very versatile.  Here I only used part of the image and cut it out.  I embossed dots and punched out some snowflakes from "Snow Swirled".
This Black & White gingham is my favorite ribbon EVER!  I still have a little bit of it left.

My daughter asked to make cards with me.  She made a lovely and creative card for me and while we were making she said "Mom, we're having a lot more fun than the boys!"  (My husband and son were outside).  So cute and priceless!

Folded Christmas tree

A cute and easy fold.  You use a circle cut in half.  The tutorial is here.  This was the technique on Splitcoast today.

I also used Tasteful Trim die, Top Note die and punches - boho blossoms, oval, dotted scallop trim and decorative label.

We will be making this and 2 other punch art cards at my next card classes.

Christmas Candle - again

I just love the Christmas candle punch art!  I use the bird punch and the modern label punch and some sponging to create the candle.  This time I used an embossing folder behind to create the "glow".

This card is made for 3 challenges.
The layout at Splitcoast.
The colors from Hand Stamped Sentiments - early espresso, old olive, more mustard, elegant eggplant.
Also for 'ABC' Challenges - tic tac toe - green cardstock, twine and leaves.

Chickadee Layered Framelits Retro

This card is for two "retro" challenges.
The "retro" color challenge at Splitcoast.  I used the colors Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Basic Gray.

The layout comes from Retrosketches.

I used two edgelits and two framelits and the die "little leaves".
I just love this chickadee image!

Chickadee sketch frenzy

Another Christmas card!  This one made with the Beautiful Season stamp set.  I used the layout from Sketch Frenzy Friday.

The technique challenge today was to layer scallops!  I glued two onto my soft suede background panel and then embossed it.  Then I glued two more overtop.

I sponged and pierced and ripped!  The sentiment is also colored in suede and green.

Why, oh, why can't I get better photos?

New Queen... QFTD137

I made this card for our Queen this week - AudreyAnn.
I hope you come check out the Queen for the Day Challenge on Splitcoast that I host.

I used my biggest clear block and markered it all with green and pressed it onto the paper, this is what showed up!  I stamped the tree and sentiment in green.  I stamped another tree overtop and embossed with iridescent ice.  You can catch the shimmer much better in person.  I wish it stood out a bit more though.
