Water Stamping with leaves

I made this card for last week's layout on Splitcoast.  Such a pretty layout, although I think I took a bit of liberty with it.

The colors are: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Summer Starfruit, white, with a bit of always artichoke


I used twine, brads, oval and modern label punch.  The embossing on the mustard is houndsooth.

I made the background circle by sponging colors on glossy paper, then I wet my stamp background and stamped it on.  I used french filigree background.  I found the technique on Splitcoast - Water Stamping.

The leaves I made by coloring the image with markers and stamping on summer starfuit paper and more mustard paper and cutting them out.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out and think it makes a nice masculine card.

Here are my two cards for the Queen for the Day Challenge...

Using my Awash with Flowers set and the sentiment from Easy Events.  I hand drew the flower stems.

Using the "telescoping image technique"  Really easy to do with framelits!

How many types of embellishments can you count?  Mini brads, clear rhinestone, button, twine, ribbon.

I used two retiring backgrounds - Medallion and French Filigree.

Here's a fun Sunday afternoon card.

I got the idea of combining these two beautiful background stamps (medallion and french filigree) from someone here on the internet. I thought they made a beautiful combination. Here's my take on it.



I embossed the medallion with black, then versamarked the french filigree. I added ribbon, a sentiment punched out with modern label and I punched out some flowers from the boho blossoms punch, layered them and added a rhinestone.

Really simple card with a great WOW look! I LOVE it.
