Hidden Message Slider

Here's one of the cards I'll be making at my next Stamp Club. It's a hidden message slider card. This is the card flat. Here's a close up of the details...

I did the flower (from vintage vogue) with Rock n Roll. I also inked the edges of the pink panel. The flower is stamped on white and cut up and popped up with a clear rhinestone in the center.

I used sentiments from two different sets - Sincere Saluatations, and Kind & Caring Thoughts. Here's a close up of the open view...

On the bottom when it's open there's a bit of the gorgeous Cottage Wall designer paper, a jumbo eyelet and polka dot ribbon.

Krafty Fall To Layout

Here's a great Fall To Layout that I finally found a way to use! I check out this site every Friday to find great Clean & Simple layouts! http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com/
I flipped the sketch this week so the ribbon would be in the bare patch on my card. I love how the sentiment was on the panel. I would have never thought to combine a big and small sentiment like that otherwise.

This card was also for another challenge which was to make a SIMPLE FAVORITE card. Here were the requirements:
- Use your favorite 2 colors +1 neutral
- Use only 1 favorite stamp set
- Only 2 layers
- No DSP
- 1 favorite embellishment
Whew! I did it!

The flowers I stamped on scrap paper so they'd be lighter, then I rock n rolled it so the edges of the flower would be slightly darker.

The ribbon I created by cutting it into pieces, then gluing together. The ribbon is NOT one continuous piece tied into a bow.

I also popped up the whole panel for an extra bit of 3D. I'm quite excited with how this turned out. Thanks for looking!

EjoyVC13 - technique

I thought it was time for another technique challenge! I chose one of my favorite techniques, even though I don't do it very often - Wet Paper Watercolor.
To do this technique I used my aquapainter brush (or you can spray the paper with a waterbottle). I wet the paper, then stamped on it. I used my retired spectrum pad to get multicolored look. Once it was dry I stamped over it again. Here's a close up:



I also used another technique for the snowman image - Rock'N'Roll. First I inked my image with light blue, then with the ink pad I rolled the stamp edges in the darker blue.
