Queen myself - REDOs

Today what I decided to do for the Queen for the Day Challenge is that everyone gets to be Queen!
So you get to go through your cards from the last year and CASE yourself!
I've been having a very crafty time here as you can see.  I made 5 redos.

This first card uses a heart mask and sponging with piercing.  Colors - Marina Mist, white.

For this card I colored the flowers with two different colors, added some piercing and twine.
Colors - Island Indigo, Black, White, Not Quite Navy, new SAB patterned paper.

I used my square punch to punch out some fun colored patterned papers, glued it onto the card, then embossed!  I used the apothecary accents shape with the sentiment from "You're Amazing"
Colors - Old Olive, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, white

I embossed with stripes (on an angle) and distressed with edges of the kraft background.
The cone is simply a triangle (embossed with lattice) and the cupcake punch.  I also used an embossed frame.
Colors - Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Midnight Muse, Choc Chip

Cut out the flower from Bloomin with Kindness and used some apothecary accents frames (pierced the dark purple one).
Colors - Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant.

Here are some small closeups.

Secret Garden FUN!

Playing with my fun new "Secret Garden" set and framelits!
I made this one for the challenges at Stampin' Royalty.
I used their colors from this week - not quite navy, soft suede, crumb cake and vanilla
and took some liberties with their sketch from last week!
Loved these colors - I had some patterned paper from the Festival of Prints DSP pack in these colors.

I used framelits and scoring.
The big blue flower is embossed with white and then I darkened some areas with blue marker.  The two smaller flowers I colored with 3 colors of maker.

This is one I made with "Secret Garden" yesterday.  I used an embossed frame with piercing and some framelits behind it.  The colors are cherry cobbler, pumpkin pie, vanilla and black.

3 Punched Cards

This card uses the bird punch, paper daisies and boho blossoms punch, little leaves die, edgelits and the cupcake punch to sponge the clouds.  This is the card we'll be making at my group meeting this afternoon.
The layout comes from Stamping 411.

For this card I wanted to show the cupcake punch used in a different way.  I made a layered ice cream cone - yummy!
This card uses the layout from Freshly Made Sketches.

This card shows one of my favorite ways to use the bird punch!  To make a candle!
It also uses the modern label punch.

Happy Hello Tree

This is a card using the color challenge today from Splitcoast - Pacific Point, Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake.
The layout is from Techno Stamper.

One of the reasons I love this set "Easy Events" is because it has 8 images and 8 sentiments.  This allows you to easily mix and match the sentiments with the images (or use them separately).  I used "happy" from happy birthday and "hello" and cut them out and put them together.

I used the embossed frame on this tree image and I used versamark to add a bit of color to the image.  Embossed with houndsooth, added button and twine, corner rounder and patterned paper.

I am doing a class this month featuring this set.  I just love it!

Pals Paper Arts - colors - so saffron, calypso coral, baja breeze

New Queen... QFTD111

I made this two cards for Queen Betty (gbedwright).

PLEASE come join us at the Queen for the Day Challenge this week.

This first one uses "Branch Out" a retired set and "Sincere Salutations".  I sponged around the Top Note shape and I used the retired photo corners punch.  I also added some brads and mini brads.

I distressed the edges of this one.  I also used my embossed frame.  The flowers are made by crumpling boho blossoms flowers.

Cupcake on a Pedestal

I finally got a chance to make a card!!  I used a whole bunch of goodies (some new ones too!)

This card is for 3 challenges...

The layout is from Stamping 411
The colors are from Create with Connie and Mary - Concord Crush, Marina Mist, Certainly Celery
I used today's Technique Lover Challenge -

First I inked my embossing folder with white and put a blue strip in and glued that onto the blue card base.
I did the magical masking technique with glossy paper, masking tape and 3 colors of ink (blue, green, purple).  I rounded the corners.
I stamped with Staz On on the purple, white and celery and paper pieced the cupcake image.  I embossed this in the oval frame and cut it out.
To embellish I used ribbon, buttons and LITTLE BRADS.  I just got them and they are SOOOOO cute, I love them.  I would definitely recommend getting these!
I finished off the image with some dazzling details glitter glue.

2 for Hand Stamped Sentiments

I made these two cards this morning for the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog.

They are having a design team tryout! I decided to try to make a fun shape using buttons! I added the sentiment "celebrate" with stamples. I thought this could be a fun card for many different occasions - wedding, birthday, or for any special day.

I embossed with stripes and dots.

This card is for their challenge "rainbows". I used 4 strips of DSP (I also used green DSP for the leaves), the embossed frame, bird punch and boho blossoms. Another generic card for many purposes! I added a pearl for the bird's eye and rhinestones on the flowers.

Framed Motorcycle

Just playing around with some retired stamp sets.

The colors are from Stampin' Royalty - Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum. I used some textured paper and some patterned paper.

The layout is from Splitcoast today - sketch challenge 376.

I used the stamp sets - Motorcycle and Lots of Thoughts.
A very cool effect with the new embossed frames (I got mine free for Sale-a-bration!)
I inked with soft suede marker on the embossing folder, then ran my sahara sand paper through it. I trimmed the frame so that the "swirly edges" are cut off. I think this gives a very cool wood frame look, great for a masculine card!

New Queen... QFTD103

Here are my cards for this week's Queen...
Come play along with the Queen for the Day Challenge on Splitcoast...

I used the colors - river rock, lucky limeade, and garden green! I stamped in WHITE. I layered framelits and popped up the embossed oval.

The deer image is punched out with an oval and layered onto the embossed frame (debossed side). I trimmed the swirly edges of and it makes a really cool embossed rectangle!!

I stamped the saying and masked the area to stamp over with woodgrain. I added the lines on either side of the sentiment.

Coral Framed Flower

I felt like making a card today. I found this layout from Sketch Frenzy Friday. When I saw the layout I thought I would like to do something with a frame and my triple blossom bouquet punch and some patterned paper. I found a piece of patterned paper and decided to try coral and white and found that it matches really well with soft suede!

For the flower I punched several layers of coral and patterned papers using all 3 settings of the punch and then attached with a brad. I crumpled all the inner layers.
