New Queen... QFTD103

Here are my cards for this week's Queen...
Come play along with the Queen for the Day Challenge on Splitcoast...



I used the colors - river rock, lucky limeade, and garden green! I stamped in WHITE. I layered framelits and popped up the embossed oval.




The deer image is punched out with an oval and layered onto the embossed frame (debossed side). I trimmed the swirly edges of and it makes a really cool embossed rectangle!!

I stamped the saying and masked the area to stamp over with woodgrain. I added the lines on either side of the sentiment.

Pastel Puppy Scene

I was inspired by a card where the person combined this tree image and the dog image. What a great idea! I stamped with versamark and then added pastels.

There are actually 4 stamp sets used on this card - D is for Dog, Nature Silhouettes, Woodgrain, Four Frames.

I also used my BRAND NEW framelits shapes! Yippee. What fun!!



The colors on here are crumb cake, choc chip, lucky limeade (distressed) and pear pizazz.

New Queen... QFTD94

I made these two cards for Queen Wendy this week. I hope you can come play along at the Queen for the Day Challenge.

Set 2

A preview of the second set of cards we'll make at the card class. We're using some fun techniques to make cards for those males in our lives. This is one of my husband's favorite sets.

Nature Silhouettes on vellum

This was the second masculine card we made with my group yesterday. They requested to learn how to make manly cards.

The card fold for this is really fun. The base is a quarter sheet of always artichoke. The main opening part is a 1/4" smaller so it layers inside. I also fastened the left side of the card with jumbo eyelets so that only a portion of the card opens.



I used markers to color the Nature Silhouettes images, then misted with a bit of water and stamped on vellum. I used brads to attach the vellum to the card so I wouldn't have to glue it. I hate using glue on vellum because I can always see it, so I always find another way to attach it.

Ripping, jumbo eyelets, linen thread and brads are great manly accents.
