New Queen... QFTD115

I made these two cards for our Queen this week.
Come play along with the Queen for the Day Challenge here.

The rose is embossed with white on Primrose Petals (new In Color).  I used a Raspberry Ripple marker to highlight some parts of it.

This is made with the new Summer Starfruit and daffodil delight and vanilla.  I used the decorative label punch to cut out and pop up the main image.

I made some punch art flowers.  This card will be for my next group meeting.
The layout is from Techno Stamper.

Simple leaf for dad

I need a few more Father's Day cards by request.  This idea popped into my head.
I inked an acrylic block and "stamped" it, then stamped the leaf overtop.  Added some ripping and brads.
A very simple card to make.

2 for Father's Day

I got requests for Father's Day cards.  One for a motorcycle and the other for a hunter.
This one uses the layout from Clean & Simple Stamping.  I kept it very simple with just some embossing and drawn lines.  The colors are Sahara Sand and Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.  The image and sentiment are a very sharp black.

This one uses the layout from Just Add Ink.  I stamped in Chocolate and Soft Suede.  I used 3 stamp sets - Nature Silhouettes, French Foliage and And Many Mower.

These cards both qualify for the challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments to make Manly cards.  I know this because MY HUSBAND LIKED THEM BOTH!

Create with Connie & Mary x2

I made these 2 cards for challenges at Create with Connie and Mary.

This card uses the layout #203.
I used two of the new In Colors - Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals.  I also used Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake.

I used the colors from #202 - Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Black and a neutral (crumb cake).
This layout is from Freshly Made Sketches.  When I found this layout and put it together with these colors I knew I wanted to use this set, even though I don't really want to make Christmas cards yet, this set is just perfect for this.

By the way, I used my NEW black ink pad and it works fabulously!  I am really pleased.  Stampin' Up! is making all new stamp pads.  I think they are a lot better.  So far I have black and chocolate chip, but I'm sure I will be getting more!

I also got the In Color inks for the first time ever.  I decided to get the markers.  Then I have matching ink for the paper.  Very fun!

New Queen... Queen 114

I made these two cards for the Queen for the Day this week.
I invite you to come join in with the Queen for the Day Challenge.  You can find it here.
I kept this card pretty much exactly like Dawn's card.  I just added the decorative label punch with brad and changed the sentiment and patterned paper.

I made the "fence" with word window punch and stamped with woodgrain.
The colors are from Stampin' Royalty - wisteria wonder, blushing bride, certainly celery, baja breeze

Candle

This layout comes from Techno Stamper.

I wanted to show off punches.  This one uses the bird punch and the modern label punch.
I also used 2 ribbons behind the sentiment.

Hot Air Balloon -punch art

I made this card for two challenges...

The Splitcoast Color Challenge was to use the retiring In Colors (Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizazz, Concord Crush).  I chose to use all 5.  I cut diagonal strips for the background piece and embossed with dots.

The balloon is made using a circle which I embossed with scallops and the basket is the cupcake punch.  I used twine and popped up the circle with dimensionals.

I added some clouds in the background and a bit of dotted scallop border under the sentiment.  The sentiment is from "Sweet Cake".

The layout is from Stamping 411.

Father's Day golfer

Here's a cute Father's Day card for a golfer. I made it using 2 challenges.

Clean & Simple - Fall to Layout 191.

The other is a challenge I just found TODAY!  Dynamic Duos!!  The challenge today was BLACK & Daffodil Delight (dessert option - dry embossing).  I thought the dessert would be easy, but I didn't end up with any on my card.

I just LOVE yellow and this color combo looks so striking!

I used this set "And Many Mower".  I paper pieced the shorts and hat for the little golfer.  I used Tasteful Trim die for the zig zag edges and I used some mini brads with the sentiment.

Queen 113

I made these two cards for Queen 113.  You can find the direct link for this week's Queen here (please come play along!)

For this card I used the emboss resist technique with glossy paper and iridescent ice embossing powder.
This was for the challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

This one is a great and simple masculine card using the taseteful trim die.

3 panels for Father's Day

I made this card for 2 challenges.
The layout is from Stamping 411.
The Clean & Simple challenge at Splitcoast today was to cut your image into 3 panels.  I chose to cut them into unequal panels which I think works well for this image.

The colors are More Mustard, Soft Suede and Garden Green.  I chose not to put any embellishments on it to keep it simple and clean looking with nothing "girly".  I embossed part of the background and crimped the green panel.  The images are Autumn Days and Something to Celebrate.

Repeating

I made this card for the layout at Create with Connie & Mary.
I changed the layout a little bit because my image ended up being really long.
I used a piece of "leftover" edge from the scallop punch to create a fun reverse scallop edge.
The blue piece is embossed with stripes.
I stamped the snails 3 times and highlighted a bit with blue marker.
The colors I used are: Wisteria Wonder, White, Basic Gray and Bashful Blue.

New Queen.... QFTD112

Here are my two cards for our Queen this week...
Hope you come play along at the Queen for the Day Challenge...

This card is using the retired Stampin' Up! sets "Warmest Regards" and "Infinite Goodness".  I watercolored the images with aqua painter.  The background is embossed with vintage wallpaper.  I stamped the dragonfly on vellum and glued it overtop

What a fun design with corner rounders.  I used a second bird punch in white to layer behind so that the bird would stand out better.  Accented with mini brads and a twine bow.

Birds for Sketch

I used this fabulous set for today's sketch.
This is also for the Twisted Tuesday Challenge - birthday + ribbon

I stamped the image on Sahara sand, then again on Island Indigo and Pool Party and cut out the birds to glue overtop.
I arranged the 3 colored panels in my embossing folder so that it would look like a continuous pattern.

Happy Hello Tree

This is a card using the color challenge today from Splitcoast - Pacific Point, Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake.
The layout is from Techno Stamper.

One of the reasons I love this set "Easy Events" is because it has 8 images and 8 sentiments.  This allows you to easily mix and match the sentiments with the images (or use them separately).  I used "happy" from happy birthday and "hello" and cut them out and put them together.

I used the embossed frame on this tree image and I used versamark to add a bit of color to the image.  Embossed with houndsooth, added button and twine, corner rounder and patterned paper.

I am doing a class this month featuring this set.  I just love it!

Home Sweet Home - decor elements

We finally have our own home (not renting!)  I have kept these decor elements and now have put them up!  So exciting!  Very easy to use and I love how it looks!
I combined two different decor elements and put them on the pantry door.   I decided that would be a fun place to put it.  I put the little flowers that go with the flourishes on my bathroom mirror!  They also look great.

Cheerful Frenzy Pals

I made this card for two challenges.

Sketch Frenzy Friday - layout.

Pals Paper Arts - colors - so saffron, calypso coral, baja breeze
I used the floral fusion die, embossed frame, ribbon and some scoring.
