You are Loved - Chalkboard

Got to make a card today!  This one is for 3 challenges.
The layout is from one of my favorite blog challenges - Retrosketches.  A layout I would never think of on my own, but I love it.  So creative!
The challenge on Splitcoast today was to do the "chalkboard" technique.  Stamp on black paper and emboss with white.  Then you can sponge white ink around to create "chalk dust" look.
The 'ABC' Challenge was to have sparkle.  I used 6 rhinestones on this card.

I love how this card turned out.  The colors are Soft Suede, Pink Pirhouette, Black, White and Rose Red.  I used 4 types of embellishments (button, white twine, ribbon, rhinestones), a corner rounder and edgelits.  Also a bit of embossing texture on the little rose red piece behind the button.  AND heat embossing!  This one is loaded!

Two Secret Garden for Queen

I made two variations of this card for our Queen this week.  We had a fun Queen for the Day Challenge this week and I hope you come play along.

I inked an acrylic block with 3 colors, spritzed with water, then pressed onto the white paper.  I then stamped twice with images trying to use the same colors of ink as the background.  I used the new die cuts with the new Saleabration paper.  Also the blue ribbon is new too!

I pierced on the blue leaf one and tore the paper on this rich razzleberry one.
I really like how they turned out.  A very clean/simple look.  I left off a sentiment so I can add one as I need to.  I think this shows off this new set "Secret Garden" and matching dies in a few neat ways to use it.

Favorites from 2012

I went through the cards I made this past year and picked out some of the ones I liked the best.  Here are my top 15 choices.  Which one do you like the best?

Some are colorful, some are clean and simple, some are masculine and some are even punch art!
Looking forward to making some more cards in 2013~

Sneak Peek - Secret Garden

Here are the cards I've made with the "Secret Garden" stamp set with matching framelits (die cuts).  So easy to use this set and cut out the flowers.  I love it!

I have paired all of these with the Apothecary Accents framelit.  And most of them use the new SAB DSP.

Don't forget to use the negatives!

Only 5 Christmas cards left

After all the Christmas cards I've already given out.  I counted my list again and I still have 5 left to make.  Now after this I have only 4.  If only I enjoyed making multiples of the same design - that would make it easier!!!

This is for a couple challenges.  The layout is from Retrosketches.
The 'ABC" Challenge blog was to make a Christmas card with piercing!
I pierced the brown square around the snowflake and also along the zig zag edges.
I glued the snowflake onto the apothecary accents shape (in white) and embossed it.  There is a large rhinestone in the center.

I Dig Baby

This is the layout from Splitcoast today.  I really didn't want to do Christmas and I have no baby boy cards in my stash.

I combined 3 stamp sets:
I Dig You (truck, bunny)
Short & Sweet (sentiment, hearts)
Road to Happiness (hearts)

I loved the colors from yesterday so much I used them again - Soft Suede, Baja Breeze and So Saffron.
I cut out and popped up the back of the truck, distressed the edges of the blue and added a bit of twine!

You Are Loved #1

Just got this stamp set and wanted to make something NON-Christmasy.

The colors are from Splitcoast color challenge today - Soft Suede, So Saffron and Baja Breeze. I just LOVE these colors together and think they would work well for many types of cards.

The layout comes from a blog challenge I just discovered - Try Stampin' On Tuesday.

I ripped one edge and inked the edges with yellow.  I added some tiny pearls and tiny ribbon.

I just love this saying "Hope today finds you feeling as loved as you really are!"
I think it could be used for many types of cards.

Retired 4 Challenge Christmas fun

I thought I was had enough Christmas cards, but counted again today and am still way short.  I decided to dig out some of my favorite retired SU! images to play with some challenges.

The Dasher card is for the layout from RetroSketches.  The sentiment is from Lots of Thoughts.
The colors are from Paper Players - Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party and neutral (sahara sand & choc chip)

On this card I used the Snowboarder image (cut out and popped up) and the lovely Medallion stamp (embossed in white) and Many Merry Messages.  I really like this card and don't think the photo really shows it off very well.

The colors are from Fab Friday - pool party, gumball green, primrose petals, real red, white
The layout is from Clean & Simple Stamping - fall-to-layout #220.

Male Birthday - You're Amazing

I'm really happy with how this card turned out!  A great male card, and quite easy to make!

The image is from "You're Amazing".  It is available as a single image!
My husband even agrees that it works for a male card!

I glued the zig zags on the black piece, then embossed with dots.

Snowman with ornament

I made this snowman from 3 circles, a tiny piece from the inside of the triple blossom punch (for the nose) and the bird punch for the arms.  I also used a small piece of ribbon for the scarf.  I even cut the ends of it (which you can't see in the picture).  I popped up each of the circles with a dimensional.

I also used Top Note die, ornament punch (saying from Word Play), white twine, photo corner punch, patterned paper and embossing.  I drew in the eyes and mouth of the snowman with markers.

This is for the challenge at The Paper Players and also the Splitcoast challenge to make a snowman.

Christmas Combo - Easy Frosty Evergreen Road

I made 8 of these Christmas cards to give to kids in my Sunday School.
I tried to make something simple, yet nice.

I combined 4 stamp sets to make this scene and I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line them up:
- Road to Happiness (car)
- Frosty Friends (snowman)
- Evergreen (tree)
- Easy Events (merry Christmas)

I added a torn edge and an embossed edgelit edge with some patterned paper.
