I made this card for last week's layout on Splitcoast. Such a pretty layout, although I think I took a bit of liberty with it.
The colors are: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Summer Starfruit, white, with a bit of always artichoke
I used twine, brads, oval and modern label punch. The embossing on the mustard is houndsooth.
I made the background circle by sponging colors on glossy paper, then I wet my stamp background and stamped it on. I used french filigree background. I found the technique on Splitcoast - Water Stamping.
The leaves I made by coloring the image with markers and stamping on summer starfuit paper and more mustard paper and cutting them out.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out and think it makes a nice masculine card.

New Queen... QFTD124
I made these 2 cards for the Queen for the Day - #124 - Queen Sue!
For this card I used the tree image from "Serene Silhouettes". One of the reasons I bought this set was to use this tree image for masculine cards. I colored the tree with midnight, basic gray and black and then spritzed with water.
The colors on this are: Midnight Muse, Sahara Sand and black.
I reached for some items I haven't used in a LONG time, eyelets (and the crop-a-dile) and twine.
This card was made using a color challenge. Primrose Petals, Baja Breeze and Summer Starfruit.
I minimized the Starfruit because I didn't want it to overwhelm. I stamped the flower image in baja breeze ink on the same color paper for a subtle look.
I had some fun with shapes, piercing, rhinestones and the fun new ribbon.
Hope you come join in with the Queen for the Day Challenge here.

2 for Father's Day
I got requests for Father's Day cards. One for a motorcycle and the other for a hunter.
This one uses the layout from Clean & Simple Stamping. I kept it very simple with just some embossing and drawn lines. The colors are Sahara Sand and Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. The image and sentiment are a very sharp black.
This one uses the layout from Just Add Ink. I stamped in Chocolate and Soft Suede. I used 3 stamp sets - Nature Silhouettes, French Foliage and And Many Mower.
These cards both qualify for the challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments to make Manly cards. I know this because MY HUSBAND LIKED THEM BOTH!
