Wild Thanks x4

We just moved and I have not made cards for 2 weeks!  I finally got a chance today and so I made up for lost time!!!!  I used 3 challenges and I made 4 cards.  I wanted to make a bunch of cards for the people who helped us move!  I hope they are kind of masculine!

The first challenge is the "kissing technique".  Full directions and details are on this post at Splitcoast Stampers.  I inked up my solid images from "Wild About You" with one color (yellow, green or kraft) and then inked my "Woodgrain" stamp with a darker color (orange, dark green and suede).  You press the inked stamps together and then stamp onto paper.  The woodgrain was a fun one to use because then I could add fun texture to the animals.  Here are the four animals I did...
Here's the full set of four!  I placed the sentiments and brads slightly different on each to accomodate the images.  I used 2 clean and simple challenges - "at the zoo" and "green, chocolate and ivory".  It was great to make some quick and simple cards.
Here's a close up of the one.  It is kind of hard from any of these pics to see the texture on the animals.  The animals are all popped up on dimensionals.  I used the stripes embossing folder for the green layer.

New Queen... QFTD110

Here are my two cards for the Queen for the Day Challenge...
Using my Awash with Flowers set and the sentiment from Easy Events.  I hand drew the flower stems.

Using the "telescoping image technique"  Really easy to do with framelits!
How many types of embellishments can you count?  Mini brads, clear rhinestone, button, twine, ribbon.
I used two retiring backgrounds - Medallion and French Filigree.
The layout of this card comes from Pals Paper Arts

New Queen... QFTD109

I made these two cards for our Queen this week.
I really hope you come play along at the Queen for the Day Challenge.
I made this one with the scallop oval die, vintage vogue, bird punch, and some brads.  The sentiment "Welcome Baby" is stamped on vellum!

I punched 3 circle openings in the elegant eggplant (dark purple)  Then I stamped 3 images on white and glued behind.
I had some fun playing with the edgelits to make some fun borders.
I wasn't sure if I should color the images in, so I left them just to make it easy!

So Sweet - Embossing Framelits

I just learned today how to emboss using framelits!  oooh, fun!  Increases the possibilities of these awesome die cuts even more!!!!

This card is for the SUO Challenge - to show off products from the SU mini catalogue.  I think the only stamp set I have from the mini is the "Sweet Cake" set.  It has some really cute sentiments and I used one here in the modern label punch.
The products from the mini that I LOVE are the new edgelits and framelits.

I also made this card for the Twisted Tuesday Challenge - to use red, pink and green and 3 brads and one ribbon.  I used my new MINI Brads and made a tiny bow from white tafetta.

I made the flowers using floral fusion die and boho blossoms punch with pearls in the middle.  I scrunched each of the layers and glued them together.  I also used the little leaves die and embossed it.
I also embossed the white oval which doesn't show up in the picture.

Mother's Day clock

The colors today are from the Color Challenge on Splitcoast - Basic Gray, Sahara Sand and White.  I used all textured paper (except the card base).

I used the tasteful trim die and the edgelit.  I stamped the clock image on white and cut it out!
I added some piercing and mini brads in two of the corners.

Cupcake on a Pedestal

I finally got a chance to make a card!!  I used a whole bunch of goodies (some new ones too!)

This card is for 3 challenges...

The layout is from Stamping 411
The colors are from Create with Connie and Mary - Concord Crush, Marina Mist, Certainly Celery
I used today's Technique Lover Challenge -

First I inked my embossing folder with white and put a blue strip in and glued that onto the blue card base.
I did the magical masking technique with glossy paper, masking tape and 3 colors of ink (blue, green, purple).  I rounded the corners.
I stamped with Staz On on the purple, white and celery and paper pieced the cupcake image.  I embossed this in the oval frame and cut it out.
To embellish I used ribbon, buttons and LITTLE BRADS.  I just got them and they are SOOOOO cute, I love them.  I would definitely recommend getting these!
I finished off the image with some dazzling details glitter glue.

New Queen... QFTD108

My two cards for this week's Queen - Charlene {LilLuvsStampin}
I hope you come play along with the Queen for the Day Challenge.

I've been gone for a week and so this is my first card in a week!  I tried to get caught up on a few challenges...
1) Technique Lovers Challenge - create your own faux embossing (use punches or die cuts of the same color on your background).  I immediately thought of using this fun die - Tasteful Trim
2) CAS challenge - scallops
3) Color Challenge - Tangerine Tango (I don't have any so I used CALYPSO CORAL), Daffodil Delight and Old Olive
4) Of course - the Queen for the Day Challenge.  I was inspired by Charlene's card.

I am having fun finding different ways of using my edgelits and embossing.  Here I did a fairly wide strip and embossed the middle.
I added dots to my lily with marker and also colored it a bit with versamarker.  The leaves are from the bird wing punch and I also colored a bit with versamarker.

I used my edgelits to create the rainbow!!!!  Also for the "grass".  I used the cupcake punch to make the clouds.
I just got this fun set and what I did when I was mounting it was I cut the sentiments off so I can use them separately.  Then I think I will be more creative with them.  I actually curved the sentiment a bit when sticking it on to my clear block so it would follow the curve of the rainbow.

I also paper pieced this fun image with 3 colors of paper and also stamped on the main card base so the little details (antennae and bow) would show up without fancy cutting!
I think this will make a good card for many occasions and even cute for a little boy.
I was inspired by Charlene's card here.

New Queen... QFTD107

Please come play along with the challenge I host on Splitcoast - Queen for the Day!
I made these 2 cards for this week's Queen.

For this card I used this week's colors - Peach Parfait, Lucky Limeade and Pool Party.  The bottom is embossed, the leaves are embossed and I used the little leaves die, tasteful trim die and boho blossom punch and pearls.

This card was made for the faux pressed flowers technique on splitcoast.  I used paper daisies and cut them in half added a stem and embossed on the pink piece then added the buttons.  A really fun and easy technique - you can use flowers, or any other punched or die cut shape.
