My friend asked me to design some cards for her to send to her relatives. She likes this car set and the colors blue and yellow. This is what I came up with...

I Dig Baby
This is the layout from Splitcoast today. I really didn't want to do Christmas and I have no baby boy cards in my stash.
I combined 3 stamp sets:
I Dig You (truck, bunny)
Short & Sweet (sentiment, hearts)
Road to Happiness (hearts)
I loved the colors from yesterday so much I used them again - Soft Suede, Baja Breeze and So Saffron.
I cut out and popped up the back of the truck, distressed the edges of the blue and added a bit of twine!

Christmas Combo - Easy Frosty Evergreen Road
I made 8 of these Christmas cards to give to kids in my Sunday School.
I tried to make something simple, yet nice.
I combined 4 stamp sets to make this scene and I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line them up:
- Road to Happiness (car)
- Frosty Friends (snowman)
- Evergreen (tree)
- Easy Events (merry Christmas)
I added a torn edge and an embossed edgelit edge with some patterned paper.

Frosty Friends - combos
From the moment I saw this stamp set (Frosty Friends) I knew it would be so versatile! For this card I used only 2 of the snowpeople and cut out around them and ripped the snowy hills. First I stamped my Evergreen stamp (also very versatile and great for pairing with other sets!)
The layout is from Retrosketches.
The colors are from Dynamic Duos - more mustard and so saffron.
I love ripping the paper and adding glitter to make it look snowy!
This was the card I made yesterday with this Frosty Friends set. See how well it works in the car from Road to Happiness!
The layout is from Technostamper.
I hope from these ideas you can discover new ways of looking at your stamps to make them more VERSATILE! Omit part of the image, and pair it with another image.

Dynamic Duo - tryout
I had lots of fun today making cards! I made 3 for Dynamic Duos! Their current color challenge = Cherry Cobbler + pick your own color. I did Cherry Cobbler with Basic Gray (and some white)
This is the first time I've used this image from the Serene Silhouettes set. I colored it with cherry and gray and punched out in a circle. I popped it up and layered it on a shape from Apothecary Accents framelits. I used another apothecary accent shape, embossed it and made a banner. I made the corners using scallop square punch. Added some twine and bling!

They are having a design team tryout right now. I've never been on a design team and I'd LOVE to. And I love the dynamic duos challenge. They have great color combos every Saturday.
The design team tryout challenge was to make cards using two of their past color combos.
For this card I chose Lucky Limeade and Black (#20). I made a gate-fold card and the image is only attached to the left side so the card can "swing" open.
For this card I chose the color combo #19 -Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke to make this a Christmas card! I sponged the cajun using a mat made from a framelit. I added some piercing around and some ribbon. The main image is stamped in artichoke (and I added some extra color to the berries). I stamped the chickadee in black and cut it out and popped it up overtop so it would really stand out!

Birthday car - color blocking
Yippee, I'm getting back into the challenges again! This card is for 3 challenges.
1) - color challenge - cajun craze, pumpkin pie, midnight muse
2) - CAS color blocking
3) - Clean & Simple Fall to Layout #207
Great male birthday card. I love how it turned out. The car is embossed with white and I paper pieced the 3 balloons and added two rows of piercing.

Sunburst car
I made this card for my husband for our Anniversary (9 years!)
I found the challenge to make a "sunburst". What a neat idea. I inked my embossing folders and just cut the blue into strips.
The colors are from Stampin' Royalty - Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight and Baja Breeze.
I photographed his card with the flowers he gave me - they even match!!
I think this card would be great for many occasions and I think he'll like it. It's manly, and he likes embossing and there are no "frills". Even the colors I think are manly enough.

Happy Birthday car
This card was made for a color challenge and a layout.
The layout is from Techno Stamper.
The colors on Splitcoast today are: Choc Chip, Tangerine Tango, Always Artichoke.
A really different color combo that I would not have tried.
I like how this turned out though. These colors make a great masculine card.
I used stampin dimensionals on the image so that the presents and balloons would pop up a bit. I put brads in the tires.

Hit the Road and Celebrate!
Here's my second card with this new stamp set! I was inspired by the colors of my son's clothes this morning! Bright blue and yellow and light gray. I used Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Sahara Sand and white. I never used to like Sahara Sand, but it is becoming one of my go-to-colors!
This is for the challenge at Twisted Tuesday. To use something clear. You might not be able to tell from the picture, but the car is embossed with clear embossing powder. The challenge was also to use some favorites. I used one of my favorite embossing folders (houndsooth), mini brads which are my newly discovered favorite embellishment, and Baker's Twine. It's always a favorite to use NEW stuff and I got this stamp set yesterday!
I wanted to make a versatile guy card. I thought this could be for birthday, grad, or other special occasions. It's definitely a fun and versatile stamp set.
I used my ticket corner punch on the corners and brads in each corner. I used my scoring tool on the yellow banner. The sentiment is colored in black and blue.

Gray & Pink Automatic Friends
I got a new stamp set today! "Road to Happiness". A very fun set with lots of potential!
I definitely recommend using the stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement of the images right.
I got this set in wood mount because then the images are permanently mounted and easier to use with the stamp-a-ma-jig.

I used two embossing folders, part of the Top Note die, some ribbon behind the vanilla layer and the word window punch for the sentiment.
The colors are from Dynamic Duos. Basic Gray & Regal Rose.
