New Queen.. QFTD122

Here are the 2 cards I made for this week's Queen for the Day.
Please come join in with the Queen for the Day Challenge.
I inked my clear block with yellow maker and pressed it onto the white paper.  Then I stamped and added brads.  Really simple card, took about a minute or two to make.

For this card I used my new set "Evergreen".  I stamped the tree with white ink on the green paper, then I inked the words with green and stamped overtop.  I added some fun decorative accents and embellishments.

3 Framelits - Masculine

Just wanted to share another card I made this morning.  I thought it turned out really well and was worthy of a blog post!

The challenge at Twisted Tuesdays was Red Hot Summer.

I used 3 framelit shapes (from Apothecary Accents) in two colors of red - Real Red and Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped the image and cut out with a circle die.  Added some twine and voila!  Really easy and I think makes a really super masculine card.  I always seem short of good masculine cards in my stash!

Celebrate Uncharted Territories

I made this card today for 3 challenges.

Free for All Challenge on Splitcoast - paper piecing. That means stamping on colored or patterned paper and cutting out different pieces to put together an image. I stamped the boat on orange and the sun and shirt on yellow.

The layout is from Clean & Simple Stamping blog - Fall to Layout 157.

The colors are from Stampin' Royalty - Concord Crush, Tangerine Tango, Certainly Celery, Daffodil Delight.

I stamped the sentiment 4 times for a fun effect. I also crumpled the dark purple. I added piercing, a punched border and twine.

Stamp Sets: Uncharted Territories, Fabulous Phrases, Sprinkles (retired set)

Uncharted Color Combo

What a great color combo challenge - Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy, Daffodil Delight!
I immediately thought it would be a great guy card and I wanted to try my Uncharted Territories and my mini clips!

I watercolored the water and also paper pieced the moon (stamped with cajun craze on daffodil delight paper, then cut out and glued on the original image).

The sentiment is from Word Play and I thought it would be fun with a clip and a bit tilted. I embellished this with a crimper and linen thread.

Two Uncharted Territories

Today's Featured Stamper gave me some great inspiration and layout ideas. This simple layout with a monochromatic color scheme and 2 ribbons. I decided to use my new "Uncharted Territories" stamp set with some monochromatic color schemes that I had ribbons to match. Here's the card I was inspired by.

I tried matching Night of Navy with Not Quite Navy (to match my cute Night of Navy ribbon!) I added a tiny bit of crimping in the background and a ripped edge.

On this one I tried matching Peach Parfait with Cajun Craze to match my fun Peach Parfait In Color ribbon! This time I embossed the background with dots.

Both are stamped and embossed with white from the set "Uncharted Territories". I think either of these would make a good card for a guy, although I'll have to ask my husband for his opinion! (Maybe the ribbon ruined it for him!)

Lighthouse for guy

This is my new set "Uncharted Territory" that I got today! I find it harder to make cards for guys and I think this one is a great one that will be very versatile.

The layout is from Pals Paper Arts - isn't it great! I knew it would fit this set really well.
The color combination is from Splitcoast this week - Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Bravo Burgundy

I stamped the lighthouse image 3 times - baja, white and burgundy and cut the white and burgundy pieces out that I wanted and pieced the scene together!

I added some texture with crimping and I inked a texturz plate.

The sentiment from "Hodgepodge Happiness" fit just right with this guy card. I embellished with brads and linen thread.

I love the white layers and the white lighthouse that I think really pops!
