Cheerful and Yellow!
This card was inspired by this lovely card from coriefoster. I changed the colors and stamp set and embellishments.
I made the two rectangles of color by putting my clear block directly onto the ink pad and then stamping onto the card. A fun technique!
I think the piercing and embellishments really add to this card. I'm finding that a lot of what makes a card is in the details! I'm starting to use my embellishments more. Often one extra layer, texture or something, just sometimes make the card so much more special!
Stamp set: Three Little Words
Colors: Daffodil delight, white, certainly celery
Embellishments: Scallop trim punch, wide striped ribbon, linen thread, buttons, clear blocks, piercing!

Operation Christmas Child - 2
I went shopping with my kids to get some more stuff for Operation Christmas Child - shoeboxes. Here's what I found this month...
- soap
- bandages (this was an idea I got from when I volunteered this year)
- balls
- activity books
- stuffed teddies
I wanted to show you my cute safari. I couldn't believe it - they were on sale - less than 30 cents each! I find it hard to find nice little stuffed teddies for $1, so this was sure a great find!
Here's the link for Operation Christmas Child if you need it.
I'm finding it really fun to do this throughout the year. Then I can look for sales and be able to make more boxes!

Snowboard triple challenge
Today's splitcoast challenge was to use stunning black silhouettes. I thought briefly about not using one of my new EXTREME stamps, but I couldn't resist.
I found a great sketch at Pals Paper Arts that I thought I'd use today (less thinking about layout!)
I just LOVE this color combination from this great color challenge site - Create, Ink! ColorLab. The colors this week reminded me of my retired Cottage Wall designer series paper and I dug thru my stash and found a few scraps! I don't know if I've ever used so many large pieces of patterned paper on my card before! I figure it's time to use them. The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz and white! One of the patterned paper is from Greehouse Gala and one is from the In Color hostess pack.
To make my silhouette stunning I thought I would emboss with black and then cut it out and pop it up.
I decided to make this card specifically for my sister-in-law's birthday coming up in March. She loves snowboarding and she also loves flowers, so that's why I used the flower pattern.
The sentiment is the new hostess set "Something to Celebrate"

Extremely fun dirt bike
Here's another EXTREME card! This one made with EXTREME DIRT BIKE. I got this stamp as a freebie pick during Sale-A-Bration. Gotta love free stuff! I think my younger brother in law is going to love this image.
I used today's sketch from Splitcoast, although I flipped it horizontally and also overlapped one of the panels slightly to make it fit my bigger image.
The colors are from Color Dare - Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Sahara Sand (it was supposed to be River Rock, but I don't have any of that color).
I stamped the biker 4 times and distressed the edges with ink. The top image is cut out and popped up with Stampin' dimensionals. I used French Filigree background stamp and for the other part I inked a texturz plate before embossing.

Snowboarding Fun!
This stamp image is one I selected as a FREE item during Stampin' Up!s awesome Sale-a-bration sale on now! I really needed some more great guy images!
The color combination today is - Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron. Loved this color combo and it got me creating quickly!
Very simple card - I just added clip to embellish! The background is the French Filigree background stamped with white ink. The wild wasabi paper is also textured.

February Card Class - set 4
Another set of cards for my card class. The theme of these are the color combination pink pirouette and basic gray (with white). I used Vintage Vogue stamp set on both.
I made the flower from the scallop cricle punch - 4 of them folded in half a few times and attached together with a clear rhinestone brad. Also used crimping and embossing and a photo corner punch.
This one shows rock and roll and sponging! I also used the background stamp French Filigree.

February Card Class - set 3
Here's the third set of cards for next' Saturday's class. These ones feature some lovely designer series papers (Elegant Soiree and Springtime Vintage) and the square punch!
I made a "quilt" look with the Big Shot and embossing. Added a "flower" made from a scallop circle punch.
Embellishments - button, ribbon, eyelets
This one is just squares in a pinwheel pattern!
Added some vintage type embellishments - ribbon punch, lacy ribbon and a vintage brad. Of course, the background is embossed!

February Card Class - set 2
Here's the second set of cards for the Saturday card class. I want how versatile punches are as well as use the new Sale-A-Bration ribbon and buttons!
I used the bird punch and the cupcake punch and a circle punch to make this tulip in the clouds.
This is just a really cute and simple card to show off that cupcake! The sentiment is from Word Play

Uncharted Color Combo
What a great color combo challenge - Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy, Daffodil Delight!
I immediately thought it would be a great guy card and I wanted to try my Uncharted Territories and my mini clips!
I watercolored the water and also paper pieced the moon (stamped with cajun craze on daffodil delight paper, then cut out and glued on the original image).
The sentiment is from Word Play and I thought it would be fun with a clip and a bit tilted. I embellished this with a crimper and linen thread.

Bold heart treats
Here's the card we'll be making at our card making club this month. I really wanted to use the heart treat cups (it works great because it's so close to Valentines Day!
I found a layout from Clean & Simple Stamping - FTL126. I decided to try some bold colors so it would match my new ribbon and buttons from Sale-A-Bration. I thought the color combo from Create, Ink! would be just perfect! (although I used Early Espresso instead of Black) Melon Mambo, Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait!
I embossed the sentiment (from Word Play) in white and added a button. There's some dots texture embossing as well. I'm really happy with how this turned out!

Two Uncharted Territories
Today's Featured Stamper gave me some great inspiration and layout ideas. This simple layout with a monochromatic color scheme and 2 ribbons. I decided to use my new "Uncharted Territories" stamp set with some monochromatic color schemes that I had ribbons to match. Here's the card I was inspired by.
I tried matching Night of Navy with Not Quite Navy (to match my cute Night of Navy ribbon!) I added a tiny bit of crimping in the background and a ripped edge.
On this one I tried matching Peach Parfait with Cajun Craze to match my fun Peach Parfait In Color ribbon! This time I embossed the background with dots.
Both are stamped and embossed with white from the set "Uncharted Territories". I think either of these would make a good card for a guy, although I'll have to ask my husband for his opinion! (Maybe the ribbon ruined it for him!)

Blog stuff
I'm so amazed. I've been nominated for the Stylish Blogger award twice recently.
The first time was about a week ago by someone's blog that I visit as often as possible.
PAM - Wacky Whippet Stamper
Today I was notified by MARYROSE from Mary Rose's Cafe that she also liked my blog.
It's so wonderful to have internet and blog friends and to be inspired by each other.
I thank you ALL for coming to visit and wanted to say THANKS for all the lovely comments!
When I became a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! I never imagined that I would make friends through it. I have made a lot of friends who share the love of stamping and creating. I've chatted with some great online people (and even met one of them in real life - how fun!)
I hope I can visit all of you in your blogs and wouldn't it be great to meet someday in real life!
Have a great day!

Cherry Espresso Delight Sunflower
Isn't this a DELIGHT-ful combination! Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight.
I got my inspiration from Just Add Ink.
The sunflower was made with the wing from the Bird Punch. This is the reason why I bought the bird punch in the first place - because it can be used for more than just making birds!
Can't forget the embossing - dots this time! (on the center of the flower and the espresso background)
The sentiment is from Three Little Words.
